Precautionary steps before using Optimmune Ointment

4) Use this medication as suggested by the veterinarian and this medicine should be used very carefully in dogs weighting less than 4.5lbs and in age less than 6months.
How to use Optimmune Ointment on dogs?

Apply half inch strip of this medicine on the affected area around the eyes. Take care that Optimmune Ointment should ba applies in dogs after every 12 hours. If your dog is affected by KCS and CSK than Optimmune Ointment is used for life long in your dogs. Each gram of Optimmune Ointment contains 2mg of cyclosporin A.
What is the side effects of using Optimmune Ointment in dogs?
Use of this medication in dogs having no problem of dryness around the surface of eyes can result in increased tear production. Inflammatory reaction, excessive rubbing in dogs and lid spasm are the most commonly side effects of Optimmune Ointment. During the first few days of using this medication may observe mild irritation.
