Diatomaceous earth – This is a natural sedimentary rock that is recognized for its insecticide properties. It is efficient in treating ticks and fleas without leaving damaging side effects to dogs. Ticks and fleas eat diatomaceous earth, but little did they know, it will cause them to dehydrate and in the long run die. Diatomaceous earth can be directly rubbed against the dog’s coat or it can be pulverized and be used as natural flea powder.

Flea comb – The flea comb is very useful in detecting and managing dog fleas. Use it as a common comb and dip it into a soapy water to remove the fleas. Some dog owners instead of dipping the comb into soapy water, they use juice and spice sprays like those mentioned earlier.

Dogs in general suffer from flea infestation. Good news, it is treatable and preventable. On the other hand, be careful when using synthetic medications because they contain ingredients that are damaging to dog. Instead, use natural treatments and home remedies to eradicate fleas safely and efficiently.
